I finished my first lace project yesterday.
Pattern: Hey, Teach! by Helen Rush.
Size: L (43")
Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, 710 yards
Needles: US8 for ribbing at bottom, neck, sleeves, and button bands; US9 for everything else.
Satisfaction with end product: I'm a happy girl. It fits well and looks nice.
It wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be. Of course, using a worsted cotton instead of a laceweight anything else might have something to do with the easiness factor. I'm encouraged, though, and no longer intimidated by lace projects, so expect to see more of them in the future.
What a pretty sweater! So glad to see you tackled lace and won!

Hi Mary Alice, thanks for stopping by.

Thank you very much. It was a fun knit, and relatively quick, too, with that worsted weight yarn.
